For Kash, she pulled a low basket from its hiding place under a table. In it was a young figwort, and a small section of a bleeding heart. The latter had been hard to find, not enough of the right kinds of woodlands for it to be anything but rare, and after dividing the rootstock, she'd replanted the rest of the plant where she found it. Both had medicinal uses, she knew, but how and what to use them for was Kash's area.
For Trinket, a large jug of fresh honey on the comb, and the promise to take him back to the hive for more after the jug was empty. But not for eating tonight; he'd get a tummy ache if he had honey after all the yummy food from the dinner.
And for Percy, something she'd come across when the last portal to another world was open. She'd been perusing a shop that made jewelry, and the woman there had had the most delightful of tools. The woman had been happy to trade paper money used in the area for Vex's gold, and directions to a store where Vex could purchase such a tool for herself. The hardest part – after parting with the gold, but making Percy happy would be worth that – was waiting until Winter's Crest to give him the Dremel, with all its bits and bobs. Especially when he'd been working so hard on presents for everyone.

For Vax, she'd picked out the perfect pair of boots from the boutique, in the inn's signature pink no less. But if he looked inside the left boot, he'd find the real gift inside the gag, a deerskin hair wrap, dyed black thanks to Percy's know-how, with leather feather dangles and teal and silver beads.
