Vax nodded at him soberly, glancing back at where Steph was blessedly deep into chitchat with Pike about something or other and hadn't seemed to take note of her name in all the whispering.
"We're still here," he turned back to Percy, then looked meaningfully at his sister, who was clearly taking some of this in and only being kind about not rubbing their noses in it so that everyone else would notice. "And it's not all bad."
