Family dinners had never been part of Snow's life. Her father would deign now and then to have her at the dinner table, but it was not a family dinner, because she was not there as his daughter. She was there as a miniature of her mother, as an aesthetically pleasing addition to the room.

So finding herself here, while she wasn't displeased since she knew most people around this table and a few of them fairly well, it was still... well, few things were not awkward for Snow. Even with Trinket next to her.

Maybe it was because someone seemed to feel just as out of place, maybe it was because it was Steph. All the same, she gave Steph a tiny smile across the table.
