He lifted her hand to his lips, pressed a kiss to her fingers. He was,
after all, able to take an unsubtle hint.
Instead of putting a guest out, though he had noticed Curnen bringing in
her guitar, Caroline had provided what she called a stereo for just this
eventuality. He did not particularly trust that her music choices would be
appropriate, but at least it would be music. She'd shown him how to turn
it on using a little plastic box. This he pulled out of his coat pocket
and pressed the proper button. "Lady Vex'ahlia, may I have this dance?"
