For an evening that had started off with nothing fancier than a Friends rerun and popcorn, Steph was feeling slightly overwhelmed. When she and Vax had stopped at the shop, she'd found to her relief that someone, probably Vex, had left a dress with her name on it in the dressing room. A pair of shoes, a dash of eyeliner and she'd been ready.
Coming into the room and seeing not just the long standing family unit, but also Snow and Curnen, made it feel a little less like a Meet The Family moment.
Settled into a hastily produced chair set between Pike and Vax, Steph did something she almost never did. She poured a glass of wine and took a sip, then prepared to have a good time and not think about the implications of all this.
